MORCHEM has been awarded by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha with the COVID SPECIAL COMPANY INVESTMENT AWARD.
On Friday, 10th December, the Covid Special Business Merit Awards were presented at the Teatro de la Paz de Albacete (Theatre of Peace in Albacete) with which the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha wanted to recognise the work of 20 companies of the region during these difficult pandemic times.
MORCHEM was one of the 4 companies awarded in the province of Guadalajara in recognition of its investment capacity and commitment to face the crisis derived from Covid.
The event was presided over by the President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, accompanied by the Regional Minister of Economy, Business and Employment, Patricia Franco, the Mayor of Albacete, Emilio Sáez and the President of CECAM, Ángel Nicolás.

FLEXIBLE PACKAGING EUROPE (FPE)-FOOD CONTACT COMMITTEE VISITS NEW MORCHEM PLANT
Guadalajara 29th of April 2022. On the occasion of the annual meeting of the FPE Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Committee in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, on 28th of April, the association Flexible Packaging Europe organised a visit to the near-by state-of-the-art polyurethane and polyester production plant of MORCHEM in the province of Guadalajara.
The Committee, made up by scientific and regulatory food contact experts of the most important European companies of the flexible packaging industry, is focused on the latest regulatory legislations on recycled plastics for food contact, substances, chemicals strategy for sustainability and framework regulations. The Committee was highly interested in visiting this modern facility and learn more about MORCHEM’s production process.
After a brief introductory welcome and a general presentation of the company, MORCHEM offered a presentation on how Morchem views the challenges of flexible packaging adhesives due to the changes of regulatory and sustainability regulations.
During the subsequent factory visit, Helmut Schaeidt Murga, CEO of MORCHEM, showed the visitors the most innovative, fully automated facilities, from production control, R&D and Quality labs, to production tower, the fully automated filling line and tanks park.
