ITMA, the world’s largest international textile and garment technology exhibition, will take place again between 8th and 14th June at Fiera Milano, in Milan, Italy where the textile and garment community will gather to interchange their experiences, technological advancements and functional solutions.

MORCHEM AGAIN AT INTERPACK
After several cancellations due to the Corona pandemic, INTERPACK is now definitely taking place.
MORCHEM will be exhibiting at this important event and we would like to invite you to our booth D82 in Hall 10.
Throughout the trade show we will be doing live product demos twice a day with the BOBST NOVA SX 550 laminating machine using our new recyclable adhesive Morchem PL 2727 AR + CF 740 R.
Demos will take place daily at 11: a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

MORCHEM BECOMES PLATINUM MEMBER OF RECYCLASS
MORCHEM, a company fully committed to the Sustainability and Circular Plastics Economy, has recently joined Recyclass as a Platinum member. Thereby, besides other important benefits, MORCHEM is entitled to have representatives on the Advisory Board and the Tasking Force of PO films as adhesive producers.
RecyClass works on the development of scientific testing methods and the design of Recycling Guidelines. MORCHEM will be involved in this cross- industry initiative to advance in the plastic packaging recyclability.
Moreover, MORCHEM is working towards getting the Recyclass certification of a new solvent free adhesive that will be launched in the upcoming year.
47. MKVS ADHESIVES AND FINISHING SYMPOSIUM – MUNICH, 17-19 OCTOBER 2022
Participants at the MKVS-Symposium which took place beginning last week in Munich, Germany, were able to share knowledge and know-how, but also finally get back to face-to-face meetings.
Interesting conferences delivered information from latest machinery and processing innovations to novelty reactive hotmelt technologies as presented by our Technical Director Cristina Ventayol together with Albert Chicote from COMEXI.
The symposium was all in all a most rewarding event and we want to thank the MKVS-Team for the great organisation.

MORCHEM: RISK ANALYSIS OF ENERGY SUPPLY SHORTAGE
We are in the middle of the first true global energy crisis. MORCHEM has evaluated the situation and the risks to which its 2 plants in Spain might be exposed.
Presently, Spain leads EU with most LNG regasification capacity accounting for 32% of the total EU capacity, and receiving liquefied pressurized gas (LPG) from different origins.
Spain’s gross electricity generation comes from renewable sources, followed by nuclear energy and finally gas with only 17,6%. Thus, the gas shortage has less impact on the electricity production in Spain than in the rest of the EU.
MORCHEM, included in the strategic sector during the COVID pandemic, would be given preference to receive energy supply, as it provides essential services for basic social functions.
Raw material supply: MORCHEM has a wide range of approved suppliers in different geographical areas, having sufficient alternatives to assure production in case of EU suppliers should fail due to energy shortages.
