On Tuesday, April 14, the Morchem plant in Fontanar had the pleasure of welcoming students from Year 12 of the Deutsche Schule Madrid. This activity is part of the company’s commitment to scientific outreach and collaboration with educational institutions.

The students who took part in the visit, accompanied by their respective teachers, are currently in their final year of studies. At this stage, they are fully immersed in preparing for and taking their final exams, a decisive moment in their academic journey.

The main reason for the visit was the students’ interest in chemistry, as they are studying this subject as part of their academic program. This sparked their interest in getting to know a company in the chemical sector such as Morchem, allowing them to observe first-hand the practical application of chemistry.

The day began with a welcome and a brief presentation of the company by the CEO, Helmut Schaeidt. This was followed by a specific presentation on the product from a chemical perspective. Afterwards, the students took part in a guided tour of the plant facilities, visiting different areas such as the Laboratory, the Control Room, and the Production Tower, among others.

The experience proved enriching for both parties. For the students, it was an opportunity to gain insight into the industrial reality of the chemical sector, while for MORCHEM it was a pleasure to contribute to sparking or strengthening young people’s interest in chemistry.

MORCHEM would like to extend its best wishes to all the students and wish them the very best of luck in their final exams.
