MORCHEM SUPPORTS THE HOSPITAL SANT JOAN DE DEU IN BARCELONA WITH A DONATION

As in previous years, MORCHEM has delivered a check for 1.500 Euros to the Hospital Sant Joan de Deu in Barcelona as a donation coming from the solidarity Christmas raffle. The raffle itself raised a total of 500 Euros, amount to which MORCHEM contributed an additional amount of 1.000 Euros.

According to letter of appreciation from Manuel del Castillo, Managing Director of the Hospital, the donation will contribute towards continuing the investigation of serious pediatric diseases and to promote the scientific research, carried out by professionals of the Hospital.

The Flexible Packaging Association is the US Association of the manufacturers of flexible packaging and material or equipment suppliers to the industry. Flexible packaging is produced from paper, plastic, film aluminum foil, or any combination of these materials, and includes bags, pouches, labels, liners, wraps, rollstock and other flexible packaging products.

This year, MORCHEM will be presenting its successful high performance solvent free laminating adhesive designed to get high speed machine in double barrier film laminates and new high performance solvent based adhesives for extremely high demanding applications, food safety always being our priority.

FOUNDATION STONE LAYING NEW MORCHEM PLANT IN FONTANAR

The foundation stone laying ceremony of the new plant that MORCHEM is building in Fontanar, Guadalajara was held last Friday, November 16th.

The event was attended by Mr. Emiliano García-Page, President of the Junta Castilla La Mancha, Ms. Patricia Franco, Minister of Economy, Business and Employment and Víctor San Vidal, Mayor of Fontanar, as well as numerous authorities.

The new Polyurethane adhesive production plant that is being built on a 30,000 m2 plot will be a modern, flexible and highly automated plant in line with Industry 4.0. in order to guarantee the highest quality requirements, as well as the future growth of MORCHEM.

This plant will be a leader in terms of environmental protection, occupational safety and hygiene and facility safety.

The plants of the Franquesas in Barcelona and Fontanar in Guadalajara are going to be complementary and can be used as back-up of one another.

The act of placing the foundation stone was a great achievement and we thank all attendees for their presence and their contribution to the success of the event.

PACK EXPO CHICAGO 2018 – AFTER SHOW NEWS

Once again the Chicago exhibition has been a record-breaking event with over 45.000 attendees.

Our booth was well visited by key professionals from the flexible packaging sector and we can say that we highly met our expectations.

FACHPACK 2018 – AFTER SHOW NEWS

After this three day intensive exhibition, we can sum up by saying that Fachpack, again had a comprehensive range of products and services on offer, with packaging materials being the largest field. Although the exhibition has a strong focus on German-speaking markets, we can more and more notice a broader influx of visitors from other European countries.

MORCHEM participated once again to offer a cozy meeting point to our customers and consolidate synergies among our customers of the Flexpack sector. We thank you for visiting our booth!

MORCHEM NEW CEFLEX STAKEHOLDER

Last 19th of September’18 , MORCHEM participated in the general meeting of CEFLEX held in Darwen, UK as a new stakeholder. Our aim is to contribute as adhesive manufacturer in this consortium initiative which its mission is to enhance the performance of flexible packaging in the circular economy. More than 90 companies and associations representing the entire value chain of flexible packaging joined CEFLEX and the number of stakeholders is growing . CEFLEX activity is focused in seven workstreams which are already quite developed : to design the guidelines for the flexible packaging in the circular economy, identify and develop sustainable end markets for secondary materials, business case for collecting flexible packaging, identification and support of the most promising technologies which can further enable sorting and recycling and communication with all relevant external stakeholders.
